Teens Write Starts Again this Saturday!

Our Teens Write! program is back this Saturday at 1 pm in the Glotzbecker Conference room. Ages 13-18 can come and prove the pen is mightier than the sword with library assistant Kristen Hoover! We accept all levels of teen writers, whether you are just starting out, or fancy yourself an expert, come share and learn together with us!

It's the start of the school year, and that means it's time to get your brain tuned into studying! Don't don't worry, the library is here to help and we have several resources just for students like yourself!

Today, I want to highlight Tutor.com.

Have you ever been up at night, stumped on a homework question? Or not know where to start on a paper? What I told you you could type back and forth with professional tutors, with no commitment? Just tell them your problem and they will help you out! That's Tutor.com.

Be it math, history, English, SAT or ACT prep, you'll find help at Tutor.com. In addition to online sessions with tutors (which are record and can be revisited at a later date), you'll find practice tests, study resources, plus an essay drop off where you can have your paper reviewed. That's right, submit a document and in 24 hrs it will be reviewed and sent back to you with tips to improve it.

A huge THANK YOU to all who participated in our Summer Reading Program This year. We had a lot of fun and I hope all of you did as well. If you finished your reading goal, please come by the YA desk for your free book!

Also, no Teens Write! this week as we will be closed Friday and Saturday, August 5-6 for staff training. We'll be open again on Sunday.
